There we go again.... verbiage et non-dits
Je trouve curieux que dans ce petit opus/traité de sinistrose,
l'auteur a parlé de beaucoup de choses, y compris les vélléités d'un
certain aristocrate croate (l'allitération est poétiquement juste
tout au moins), mais pas de la guerre, oui la guerre qui fait
toujours partie des sources de famine en Ethiopie de récente mémoire.
Que ce soit la famine des années 1980 sur laquelle Robert D. Kaplan
(on ne l'accuserait jamais d'afroptimisme) a écrit "Surrender or
Starve" (Se rendre ou mourir de faim), et l'absurde "dernière guerre
de tranchée" type première guerre mondiale qui a opposé l'Ethiopie et
l'Erythrée il y a 3 ans et qui a fait 100.000 morts selon certaines
estimations et a causé une dérive autocratique des deux régimes
antagoniques, dirigés par de vrais frères ennemis de la lutte contre
Menguistu: Meles Zelawi d'Addis Abeba et Issaias Afewerki d'Asmara.
Beaucoup d'argent gaspillé et de vies humaines sacrifiées pour
l'orgueil, surtout la jeunesse érythréenne particulièrement
patriotique après la guerre de libération. Beaucoup rentraient
d'exil pour construire le pays et l'Erythrée semblait un cas
inspirant il y a quelques années. A tel point que ses dirigeants
(dans un nunéro de Time) snobbaient gentiment le label encombrant
"africain." Ils veulent être "autre" chose et c'est leur droit
absolu et ce n'est pas mon problème. D'ailleurs, je les comprends
parfaitement.
Quand les africains les plus superbement instruits (mais apparemment
pas proportionnellement éduqués), civilés mais pas miraculeusement
réfractaire au virus de la civilité, ne peuvent plus ouvrir la cavité
buccale sans proférer une chaine d'injures passablement enfantines
--pour amuser-- contre les leurs. Et toujours l'alléluia anachronique
ramassé d'on ne sait quel panier du discours paternaliste bien
digéré, il semble: "faut pas blamer les blancs" pour les (...) de
l'Afrique. Cette injonction hautaine et absurde n'a aucun crédit.
Dans le débat africain actuel, en général, on doit fouiller
sérieusement pour trouver la petite frange paranoïde qui blame
l'occident ou je ne sais quoi pour les maux et misères de l'Afrique.
En fait la pathologie de l'auto-flagellation (se bastonner soi-même
en "clair-texte") est tellement avancée chez les intellos et
dirigeants africains qu'on a pratiquement tiré un cordon sanitaire
autour d'un bon nombre de sujets bien importants et d'actualité
datant du passé d'agression et d'exploitation de l'Afrique et de la
dignité humaine des africains, même avec un examen du rôle des
africains bien sûr, sans aucun interdit --mais "faut pas accuser,
blamer..." tralala. (En fait, c'est devenu politiquement correct de
passer à la loupe de rôle des africains et sautiller sur le fond
historique.)
Pourquoi faisons-nous maintenant vertu d'une telle timidité
intellectuelle, qui est loin d'être moralement défensible? Sinon
l'argent que les pays primitifs indigènes barbares ont payé pour nous
éduquer n'a été que pur gaspillage. Et devrait être remboursé. Je
dis cela parce que le discours du mépris "sexy" autrefois reservés
aux politiciens africains, puis aux intellectuels, maintenant arrose
toute la catégorie de bipèdes humanoïdes appelés "africains."
Mais les (bon, "certains") commentateurs "africains" sont capables du
verbiage le plus décousu sur "l'Afrique." Ils ne peuvent pas
analyser un seul cas spécifique sans retomber dans leur grosse
théorisation qui est en fait la manifestation d'un sentimentalisme
naïf, inculte et indiscipliné intellectuellement. Il faut avoir cru
que les africains doivent être bons de nature pour croire ensuite
qu'ils sont devenus tous mauvais de nature. Et puis: la bonne
gouvernance ne pousse pas sur les arbres. Les Ethiopiens doivent se
battre pour la réaliser, les Botswanais, Zimbabwéens, les Béninois,
tous. Bon, ça existe déjà un peu chez les Botswanais ? Et si la
guerre fait les famines, arrêter ceux qui font la guerre en Ethiopie.
Après, on se retrouve pour comparer nos notes.
